Rowan Fullerton is a British portrait painter whose work is rooted in close observation and tonal sensitivity.
Born in Brighton in 2004, she trained at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence, where she studied the traditional sight-size method, working directly from life under natural light. Her paintings are marked by a quiet, sustained engagement with the sitter.
Rooted in the practices of painters such as Titian, Van Dyck, and Velázquez, her work brings a contemporary clarity to a historic tradition.
Rowan currently divides her time between Florence, London, and Gloucestershire.
